• All MYGS volunteers are required to pass a background check through USA Softball and complete SafeSport training.

Steps:

1. Register with USA Softball https://www.registerusasoftball.com/  

2. Go through the background check - Tab is at the bottom of the main page (Home Plate) of USA softball account.
     The cost in 2023 is $13. 

3. Complete the SafeSport course. There is a link in the SafeSport tab in the USA Softball main page.
     The link leads you to the SafeSport site. By visiting the SafeSport via USA Softball site, the training course cost is waived.
     You need to set up a separate account on the SafeSport site.

4. After completing the SafeSport training, go back to the USA Softball site to sync your USA Softball account with Safe Sport.

a) Log on to: registerusasoftball.com
b) Select SafeSport tab in the homepage (bottom of the main screen)
c) Go to the 20XX season compliancy box
d) There is a hyperlink 'here' to click
e) It will redirect to SafeSport
f) Enter username and password
